Zealandia Te Māra a Tāne Sanctuary to Sea project

We’re working alongside Zealandia Te Māra a Tāne wildlife sanctuary to help rehabilitate and protect one of Wellington’s most precious waterways – the Kaiwharawhara Stream.

The stream begins in karori and is Wellington’s only waterway that still flows un-piped into the harbour.

CentrePort contributes to the project by providing Zealandia Te Māra a Tāne's project with annual funding, professional skills and people to help with planting, advocacy, and other conservation work.
