The Empty Container Depot plays an important role in our operations, providing container storage, servicing, and maintenance solutions for our customers. We're seeking a motivated and reliable General Hand to join the team and help ensure containers are maintained to a high standard while supporting safe and efficient depot operations.
About the Role
This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You'll be involved in a range of depot activities, including:
- Preparing, repairing, and painting containers
- Washing containers using high-pressure steam cleaning equipment
- Operating forklifts to move containers, parts, and materials
- Carrying out general labouring and manual handling tasks
- Assisting with depot administration and record-keeping as required
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
- A practical, hands-on approach and strong work ethic
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A strong commitment to health, safety, and following procedures
- Physical fitness and flexibility to work shifts when required
- A current Class 1 New Zealand Driver Licence
A forklift endorsement and/or current OSH Forklift Certificate would be an advantage but is not essential.
