Marine Planner

We’re looking for a highly organised and detail-focused Marine Planner to join our dynamic Marine team.

This role is pivotal in coordinating marine operations, ensuring smooth daily shipping schedules, and supporting operational excellence through proactive planning and stakeholder engagement.

What you will be doing

As a Marine Planner, you’ll play a central role in coordinating daily marine operations, working closely with shipping agents, customers, and our internal teams. You'll manage the MarineOps system to plan and distribute daily shipping orders, ensuring schedules are efficient, safe, and aligned with customer needs. Strong communication with key stakeholders will be essential to support real-time decision-making and smooth operational delivery. Flexibility to work across shifts that will include weekends and outside of normal work hours, will be essential to meet the needs of the operation.

About you

You will have a blend of analytical thinking, great communication, and strong planning capabilities. You are organised and detail-focused, with a commitment to high standards and continuous improvement.

What You Bring

  • Proven experience in a planning or coordination role, ideally in port operations, logistics, warehousing, or freight forwarding.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess data from multiple sources and make informed, timely decisions.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands effectively.
  • High attention to detail, particularly when analysing operational data.
  • Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships across all levels.
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement and a commitment to high operational standards.
  • The ability to self-manage, work independently, and adapt to change.
  • Solid resilience and flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
