We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Port Security Officer to join our dedicated team, responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our port facility under the Maritime Security Act and the ISPS Code.

 

In this role, you’ll play a key part in protecting our operations, assets, and people. You’ll conduct regular patrols, manage secure area access, respond to alarms and incidents, support compliance procedures, operate security systems, and provide excellent customer service to port users. This is a full-time position on a 24/7 rotating roster.

 

To succeed, you’ll need a good level of physical fitness, as duties include climbing in and out of vehicles, manual handling, operating equipment, and working in all weather conditions. If you’re adaptable, safety-focused, and ready to contribute to a critical part of our operations — we’d love to hear from you.

 

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Good physical fitness and commitment to health and safety.
  • Ability to work rotating day/night shifts and adapt to change.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • A full, clean Class 1 licence and confidence using computers (CCTV experience a plus).
  • Previous security experience (desirable but not essential).
