This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, safety-conscious leader to take the next step in their career with CentrePort's Container Services.

This is your chance to be involved in leading a high-performing team at the heart of a dynamic terminal operation, where innovation, collaboration, and customer focus drive success.

Why join CentrePort

CentrePort is New Zealand’s most strategically situated Port. We are a key player in facilitating economic growth through the safe and efficient movement of cargo and providing supply chain solutions and expertise.

What you’ll be doing

Flexibility to work across shifts will be essential to meet the needs of the operation.

About you

What you bring

  • Proven experience leading port or terminal operations, including managing teams across rotating shifts and dynamic environments.
  • Operational working knowledge of the Health and Safety in Employment Act and its application in industrial settings.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • A flexible, hands-on attitude with the ability to stay calm and effective under pressure.
  • Sound problem-solving skills with a proactive and solutions-based mindset.
  • A full driver licence (with F endorsement) and experience operating heavy machinery is highly advantageous.
